He is a Public Health Medicine Specialist, medical doctor and former Lecturer at the Department of Community Health, Behavioural Sciences and Academic Coordinator, Master of Public Health Nutrition at the School of Public Health, Makerere University.

Dr Wamani is a true Patriot of Bunyoro. When government was struggling to find a location and land for to establish the proposed Bunyoro Public University, Dr Wamani responded to the need by offering 100 acres of land in Buhimba town Council in Kikuube district.
